Eleanor Bunker began her modern dance and ballet training at the Hartford Ballet with Enid Lynn, Lisa Bradley, and Michael Uthoff. She was a member of Anna Sokolow's Players' Project for 14 years, and has danced with the Sokolow Theater Dance Ensemble since 2002. As a member of the Sokolow Ensemble Eleanor oversees the costuming for the company and assists Jim May in restaging the works of Ms. Sokolow. As a soloist and rehearsal director Eleanor spent eleven years with Rondo Dance Theater, where she performed the work of Doris Humphrey, Jose Limon, Charles Weidman, Donald Mckayle, Anna Sokolow, Paul Sanasardo, Manuel Alum, Pauline Koner, Murray Louis, Doug Varone, and Moses Pendleton. She has also worked with Hartt Opera, Daniel Lewis, Randance, Dan Wagoner and Ernestine Stodelle. She is dance faculty at Dominican Academy in NYC., and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies/Dance Pedagogy and Aesthetics. Joined Catherine Gallant/DANCE and Dances by Isadora in 1999. She joined Dances by Isadora in 2000.
