Hannah Goldberg

Hannah Goldberg is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from the Washington, D.C. area. She has studied ballet, modern, jazz, musical theatre, and contemporary dance forms in Washington D.C., Long Beach, California, and Paris, France, and has taught and choreographed these same techniques to students, ages 3-18. In 2010, Hannah began her work in the Duncan technique with Word Dance Theater, and has been a company member since 2011. Since then, she has continued studying and performing with Cynthia Word and Ingrid Zimmer, and has understudied for the roles of “Young Isadora” in Preludes: Duncan, Sand & Chopin (2010), as well as “Young Irma” in Once Wilde: Isadora in Russia (2012). In addition to her work with Word Dance Theater, Hannah regularly studies with Jeanne Bresciani in New York and Washington, D.C., and has also studied and performed with such established Duncan dancers as Valerie Durham and Mary Sano. Hannah currently sits on the Board of Directors for WDT as the Vice President and an Executive Board Member, and holds a B.A. from The College of William and Mary in English and dance.
