S.F. Duncan Dancers, Bi-Centennial Event - 1976
From The Collection of Mignon Garland
1976
Mignon Garland directed an outdoor Bi-Centennial performance of The San Francisco Duncan Dancers to honor both Isadora's grandfather, General William Duncan, who fought in the Revolutionary War and Isadora's 98th birthday. The setting was outside the Legion of Honor Museum, in Lincoln Park, San Francisco. The program included unspecified dances from Schubert and Chopin, as well as a dance choreographed by Mignon to a piece by Spanish classical guitarist Fernando Sor.
