Celebration of Isadora with Burlingame Historical Society - May 26, 1991
From The Collection of Mignon Garland
Sunday, 26 May 1991
Mignon Garland and her protege Mary Sano were invited by the Burlingame Historical Society to celebrate Isadora Duncan's birthday at the site of "The Three Dancing Maidens," a sculpture by Walter Schott that was inspired by Isadora (and resembles the dancers in Duncan's 'Three Graces'). Mary performed around the fountain to music of Chopin and Schubert. Photos include the sculpture itself, Mignon by the sculpture, Mary in a dance pose, and a photo from the reception afterwards, with members of the historical society. Written material was authored by the Burlingame Historical Society.
