Schubert — Symphony No. 9, D. 944 in C major, II. Andante con moto

Dancers emerge either one by one or two by two from upstage right, arms in the shape of a crescent
moon (symbol of Artemis) and firstly place the stars in the sky and then moving the stars into their constellations - all done with a Duncan Twirl step, leg back gently reinforcing the crescent moon image. In part B dancers skip quickly to diagonal corners and create a joyful circular celebration of the moon and earth. Dancers then exit as a full group to begin a slow walking celebration of Apollo and the sun which ends with a brilliant off stage, back on by separate dancers one at a time.
